Top Social Media Tools

What social media tools should you be using in 2021?

It may come as a surprise to some, especially if you’re relatively new to Social Media Marketing, but you don’t spend all your time browsing Social Media platforms. One of the biggest frustrations for Social Media Managers is the assumption they ‘spend all day scrolling Facebook’. So much more goes into all things Social Media, which includes utilising several different platforms for various reasons.

Here are our top social media tools for Social Media Marketing that will help make your life a little bit easier.

feedalpha

feedalpha is a Social Media scheduling tool that also enables you to source and share trending content. The beauty of feedalpha is everything is in one easy place so you can schedule your planned Social Media posts as well as being super topical with the latest trending news from your industry. What’s more, if you’re looking for a helping hand when it comes to image or content creation, they have specialists on hand to either help produce your marketing assets or train you and your team.

To be completely transparent here Jacinta is the Head of Digital Marketing with feedalpha! Here is what she says: ” I discovered feedalpha a few years ago after the CEO of Carlow Chamber introduced me to Gary, and I just loved it. I work with so many different industries, sourcing content to share was taking so much time and Google Alert emails were cramming up my email account! The company has grown to offer packages that include tailored social media content for business and I am having so much fun working on that part of the project.”

Copysmith

Writing copy is one thing. Writing copy that works is another. Copysmith is a fantastic tool that helps turn a blank page into ‘marketing copy that sells’.

From product descriptions to taglines, metadata and ads – Copysmith enables you to create engaging copy that’s right for your audience, unique and keyword-friendly.

InShot App

InShot is a video editing app that allows you to edit your footage, add filters or effects and even include music. You can also add stickers and text to your video, which will help viewers understand the content if they have to listen in silence – which is how the majority of Social Media content is consumed.

Fanpage Karma

Unsplash is a great platform full of free photographs ready to be downloaded and shared on your Social Media accounts.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by, you guessed it, Google. Add their tracking code to your website, and you’ll be able to see how much traffic each Social Media platform is sending to your website and what users are doing once they get there. Through Google Analytics, you will be able to monitor what pages your Social Media traffic visit, how long they stay on the page and what percentage bounce straight off. The insight that Google Analytics allows will enable you to tailor your website content to meet your visitors’ needs best and where improvements can be made.

Adzooma

If you’re utilising several marketing platforms for your paid ads, then you may wish to group them onto one simple platform. Adzooma allows users to create, optimise and track Ads from Google, Facebook and Microsoft all in one place. Not only will this make your Ads management much easier, but you will also be able to cross-reference results and understand which platforms work best for you.

Dropbox

If you’re anything like us, when you’re writing your content and sourcing images, you’ll end up with hundreds of files on your desktop – which is risky business! Not only will it slow your machine down, but it stops anyone else from being able to access your work. Dropbox is a cloud-based file storage platform that easily allows you to share access with other users. By storing your imagery ‘in the cloud’, you, or anyone in your team, can access your files from anywhere. We are also loving the new feature where you can transfer your images/files to others.

Google Sheets

Social Media content doesn’t often only sit with one person in a team. The more exposure and understanding the wider team (especially Sales) have of what you’re posting, the better. Especially when it comes to getting a decent mix of content. Google Sheets (part of Google Docs) is essentially Excel but online and live, which means multiple users can be in the same document and actively working on it without the need to create various versions of a document.

Grammarly

Sometimes a second pair of eyes isn’t possible, whether that’s due to short deadlines or business size. This social media tool has been Jacinta’s saviour! Grammarly is a free writing app that helps review your copy to ensure your spelling and grammar is correct, as well as giving helpful suggestions based on your target audience.
