Increase Your Facebook Page Following

Page Followers is soon to be replacing Page Likes and, although often described as a vanity metric, businesses need to be aware of what their magic number is. Followers will give those in charge an idea of potential reach and exposure for organic content.

With this in mind, you may wish to look at your current follower figures and put aside some time to implement a game plan. You must aim to build a following of users interested in your businesses products and services as this is the best way to generate quality engagement.

1. Post Frequent and Quality Content

You’re only going to drive engagement by sharing something worth engaging with. The more your audience interacts with your content; the more comprehensive your organic reach will be. Make sure you post frequent and exciting content to keep your community active.

2. Understand Your Audience

Use your Page Insights to see when your followers are most active and what style of content they engage with the most. Use this information to tailor your content in the future.

3. Share Outside of Facebook

You don’t need to sit back and wait for your followers to find you. Share the link to your Facebook Page outside of the platform, for example, on your website or email footers. Encourage your existing customers and stakeholders to stay in the loop and follow your page.

4. Join The Conversation

Use your content to drive comments and trigger conversations that your business can be a part of. Whether it’s on your own posts or others, social listening will help you learn more about your audience and what they think of your products and services.

By making it a two-way conversation, your followers are more likely to keep engaging with you, thus increasing your reach.

5. Pay to Play

As above, you want to ensure your audience are interested in what you have to offer, and one quick way to do this is to promote your Facebook Page. Facebook allows you to target your existing customer data, website visitors or simply those interested in your product and industry through paid ads designed to increase your reach and exposure.
